- ➤ Porter County Fair runs from July 17 to July 29, 2026 featuring live Grandstand concerts, demolition derbies, tractor pulls, and family fun (including animal shows, vintage machinery exhibits, and carnival rides) for all ages. PanoramaNOW
- ➤ The Northwest Indiana Bridal Expo is set for Jan. 18 from 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at one of the region's largest venues, where Louie's Tux Shop sponsors free admission, parking, complimentary services, booths, and live fashion runways to support wedding planning. PanoramaNOW
- ➤ Turkeypalooza at Central Park Plaza will feature live music and food from local vendors on 07/31/2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.—all proceeds support 500 Turkeys’ mission to feed families and honor veterans. PanoramaNOW
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Bill Marshall, head football coach at Valparaiso High School, gave a powerful acceptance speech at last year’s Good Life Awards, celebrating local milestones and thanking community members for their support. His remarks highlighted the community spirit in our local achievements. Valpo Life
- ➤ Central Plaza will be closed on July 18 for the sold-out Wine Festival, which will run from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. Guests must have purchased a $45 ticket in advance. PanoramaNOW

- ➤ Valparaiso City Services adjusted its leaf collection because severe winter weather brought over 21 inches of snow and halted normal operations — crews used loaders and dump trucks to clear piles while vacuum trucks will return in spring — and residents can drop off bagged leaves at 2150 W.
