- ➤ Nine Purdue University Northwest faculty members received approval for promotions on April 4 that will take effect on Aug. 18 during the 2025-26 academic year. - ➤ On April 3, Purdue University Northwest hosted its fourth Alumni Hall of Fame celebration to honor five distinguished alumni for their work in health, education, and community service. Chancellor Kenneth Holford welcomed the audience and recognized honorees like Nicole Kupchik (the first College of Nursing inductee) and Mitchell 'Mason' Macenski from Hammond, who continue to support future students. - ➤ INDOT told drivers that overnight lane closures on I-94 between U.S. 421 and U.S. 20/35 in La Porte County began on March 31 and will run until about April 16 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., while phase one work starts—shifting two lanes left and including concrete patching and a bridge deck overlay that will slow traffic until mid-December.
