- ➤ Ivy Tech Community College’s Valparaiso campus raised $13,091 from 98 donations on April 8 during Ivy Tech Day—an effort that saw over 2,800 donors statewide contribute more than $483,000 to support scholarships and programs. - ➤ In Hobart, a section of State Road 51 will close on or after April 14th for gas line relocation work — followed by culvert replacement — near Cleveland Avenue. Repairs at the State Road 51/State Road 130 roundabout will close its northwestern portion — a detour will run via U.S. 6 and State Road 149 or I-94, I-65 and U.S. 30 —. XROCK 103.9
- ➤ Porter County Auditor Karen Martin said her office reviews nearly every county dollar through four specialized departments and undergoes a yearly audit by the Indiana State Board of Accounts.
