  • Since 2016, Currie Motors Ford of Valpo has built long-term partnerships with local organizations & law enforcement to support community events, car raffles, and public safety initiatives; it plans to expand collaborations soon to better serve customers and build neighborhood trust.  Valpo Life
  • Liberty Township Volunteer Fire Department supports a national campaign to recruit volunteer firefighters in Porter County (covering Chesterton, Valparaiso, and Westville). The department invites community members to view the recruitment video online and consider joining the team.  XROCK 103.9

BUSINESS NEWS

  • NIPSCO and its subsidiary GenCo have asked the state for approval to more than double their electric generation capacity to supply power for one of the largest data centers in the country.  NWI Times

  • INDOT says CSX Railroad will close U.S. 30 at the crossing between Hart Street and Calumet Avenue west of Calumet for about six days beginning Monday, April 27 — local access remains open while through traffic must use alternate routes via U.S. 41/Indianapolis Boulevard, 45th Street/Glenwood Lansing Road, and Illinois 83.  Indiana 105
