  • Harvest Tyme Family Farm in Lowell has opened its Tulip Tyme Festival, featuring over 300,000 tulips arranged in a hummingbird shape plus rides, a petting zoo, tricycle rides, and goat feeding for families.   • Fresh Start Enterprises debuted on April 26 as a food truck offering job training and employment for individuals reentering society led by Sam Burgett and the Community Change Center. ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Firefighters advised residents to monitor outdoor fires after an unattended burn pile sparked a brush fire that burned 23 acres near West 875 North—fire departments from South Haven, Chesterton, Porter, and Burns Harbor helped control the blaze and urged everyone to fully extinguish fires before leaving.  Lakeshore Public Media
