- ➤ Casandra Vickers, a first-generation PNW student, has grown her leadership skills through TRIO, Honors College, and student government as she completes her degrees in Business Information & Analytics and Human Resource Management this spring. She credits hands-on experiences with developing the skills that will boost her future career. Valpo Life
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ April Severs, a local educator and musician who battled stage III breast cancer following her June 2025 diagnosis, completed chemo, radiation, and a mastectomy by February, and her community offered care+support through every step. She now continues homeschooling and working with local band programs. Valpo Life

Annual Memorial Day Service May 25 at 11 a.m. at Graceland Cemetery
Graceland Cemetery will host its annual Memorial Day Service on Monday, May 25, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Valor Hill, honoring all who have served with a special tribute to veterans laid to rest at Graceland over the past year. Conducted by American Legion Post 94, the free public ceremony will include the reading of each veteran’s name and will move indoors to the mausoleum in the event of rain.
