  • Chesterton Town Council called for Porter County Central Communications director Debbie Gunn to resign after she blamed a five-minute delay in emergency response during the June 18 shootout that left one suspect dead and one police officer injured. The council presented license plate reader data to dispute her claims while County Commissioner Jim Biggs, who joined the call, said he will hold a press conference Tuesday to offer more details.  NWI Times
