  • GreatNews.Life launches the Leadership Life Series, a set of video presentations featuring Indiana's top figures in business, not-for-profit organizations, elected offices and community advocacy.   • The Lake County Fair will begin on July 31 in Crown Point with a Kick-Off Party featuring a concert by Russell Dickerson with Niko Moon opening, and will offer family-friendly events such as a Monster Truck Show from August 1 to 3, motocross stunts on August 4, wrestling on August 5, rodeo on August 6, mud racing on August 7–8 and a demolition derby on August 9–10—each designed to bring people of all ages together. E.J. Hein, a longtime farmer and Fair board member, is in charge of the Grandstand events—hoping every fairgoer makes happy memories and looks forward to returning next year.  NWI.LIFE

HEALTH NEWS

  • Maryann Siniawski is a three-time cancer survivor who was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1996, had recurrences in 2003 and 2014, and has been cancer free for 29 years.
