- ➤ Angela Perez, a master's student at Purdue Northwest, was named to Conexus Indiana's Rising 30 Class of 2025 for her work as an engineer at FiberX in Merrillville—her design helped shift the company from manual to automated processing with plans to scale up in the next 18 months. Valpo Life

GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ INDOT said that I-65 bridge work from I-80/94 to Ridge Road in Lake County has moved to phase four for southbound traffic, with the new setup running through mid-August. Ramps from I-94 eastbound and I-65 southbound to Ridge Road are closed—motorists must detour via I-94 and State Road 53/Broadway—while the ramp from I-94 westbound to I-65 southbound remains closed through late August and overlay maintenance is underway at three locations until mid-October.
