- ➤ Northwest Indiana families using NIPSCO now face the highest electric bills in the state, with a nearly 27% jump this year adding an extra $50 per month for 1000 kWh users — NIPSCO says the increase helps cover rising costs for system upgrades and a new customer assistance program will launch next year.
