- ➤ Downtown Valparaiso welcomes The Golf Lodge – Alpen Haus that will offer German food and virtual golf with TrackMan simulators while a new Pizza Hut opens in Merrillville and Jack in the Box returns later this year with 24/7 service. Additional new openings include a second Daily Drip location in Dyer, OpenYum Noodles in Merrillville, Build-A-Bear Workshop in Schererville, Wamy’s Burgers N Beaks in Munster, Johnny K’s Patio in Lansing, and Jimmy John’s in Lowell, and meanwhile the old Beef Mart building in Portage was torn down for new development.
