- ➤ Families in Valparaiso can soon enjoy the 2025 Lake County Fair at the Lake County Fairgrounds from July 31 to August 10 with farm displays, contests and interactive activities celebrating 173 years of heritage. The fair will kick off with a record-setting concert by country pop artists Russell Dickerson and Niko Moon at the Grandstand—organizers plan to add attractions like a beer garden, mud drag racing and 4-H events to create a fun experience for all ages. - ➤ South Shore Line officials said crews repair the CSX freight bridge and are installing voltage isolation equipment along the nine mile track — bridge work at the Munster-Dyer Main Street Station is set to complete by early October and further work will finish by mid November as the line is targeted to open end of year.
