- ➤ Toys in the Attic in Valparaiso will close at 74 W. Lincolnway by the end of summer around Aug. 23 as owners Chris and Tim Reddick plan to focus on their Crown Point store. The toy store, which has been open for eight years, will hold a big sale to clear its remaining stock—customers are encouraged to shop at the Crown Point location and online instead. NWI Times

- ➤ A study by Texas Electricity Ratings found that Indiana's residential electric bills increased by 29.1% from 2015 to 2023, raising rates from 11.57 to 14.94 cents per kWh.
