- ➤ The Lake Ridge School Board selected a firm for its superintendent search—sharing five key facts about the decision Monday night. The board will work with the firm to guide the search for a new superintendent. NWI Times
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Indiana Dunes State Park turned 100 years old after its founding in 1925 and will hold a centennial celebration on Sept. 20 to mark its storied past and status as the most visited state park with nearly 2 million visitors last year. The park spans 2,182 acres along Lake Michigan and is known for its diverse landscapes—offering beaches, trails, and abundant wildlife. NWI Times

- ➤ Nicole Gladstone is named president and CEO of the MAAC Foundation effective September 1—she will lead the nonprofit training campus for firefighters, EMS, law enforcement, and K‑9 units to build on its strong legacy in Valparaiso. XROCK 103.9
- ➤ The Valparaiso City Council overrode a veto and outlined five key points that will change city policy. Officials said the move will guide future spending and decision making. NWI Times
