- ➤ East Porter School Board member Natalie Bowersock filed a lawsuit Tuesday against the district, its superintendent and the governing board after officials barred her from school property by issuing a cease and desist letter and a criminal trespass warning following a private event. - ➤ Wheeler High School seniors held their Senior Sunrise on August 21 at the school football field to watch the sunrise together and take photos with special frames. Today, the Class Council revived the parking spot painting tradition after principal Ryan Kruszka approved the plan — seniors plan to use personal designs and graduation jokes on their spots. - ➤ Federal officials confirmed that companies are recalling tens of thousands of imported shrimp sold at Mariano's, Kroger and local stores because they may contain Cesium‑137— a radioactive substance that might pose health concerns over time.
