- ➤ A Chicago, Ft. Wayne & Eastern Railroad train partially derailed late Saturday night in Valparaiso when operators applied emergency brakes after spotting someone on the tracks—no injuries were reported and crews had the line fully operational by Monday morning. Lakeshore Public Media
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Governor Mike Braun said a study from the Indiana Business Research Center confirmed that Indiana’s READI regions, including the northwest area with Porter County, are strong and ready to shape the state’s economy. The report was released last week as part of a plan under an Executive Order to set unified regional boundaries by year-end 2025—proving that local leaders built these regions through real collaboration.
