- ➤ Hosted by the Duneland Education Foundation, Family Fun Fest will be held at Sunset Hill County Park on September 21 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. The free event will feature musical acts, food trucks and activities for kids. PanoramaNOW
- ➤ The annual Valpo Brewfest Kick-Off Biergarten will be held at Central Park on September 22nd from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.—live music from The German Band, Inc. and Lauren Dukes Band will perform. German food and beer are available for purchase with free admission, and alcohol service is limited to those with valid ID. PanoramaNOW

- ➤ Seedlings Theatre Company and Improductions will present 'The Cliffnotes of Insanity' at The Hub NWI beginning Saturday, September 20 at 7:30 pm—an interactive show with sword fights, Princess Bride trivia, costume contests, and tastings that will run on multiple dates with various ticket options. - ➤ Dr. Regina Beard was sworn into the school board at Thea Bowman Leadership Academy on August 20 to support local student programs through her nonprofit VicTory 4 Kidz—she plans to work with local schools and expand career and technical education. She said her new role will guide upcoming events such as a youth healthcare expo at Valparaiso University. NWI.LIFE

- ➤ The City of Valparaiso is hosting See Tracks? Think Train Week from September 15–21 to remind drivers and pedestrians to be cautious near train crossings as collisions happen every three hours on average. City officials and Canadian National Railway representatives presented safety measures such as a new pedestrian walkway on Silhavy Road — improvements that will help reduce accidents near the tracks.
