Northwest Health Porter announced plans to invest over $11 million in a multi-year project to add behavioral health services and expand inpatient rehabilitation for patients across Northwest Indiana.
Behavioral health services at Portage will open in 2028 + the inpatient rehabilitation unit at Valparaiso will move by mid-2026 as part of efforts to improve local patient care.

Valpo Esports wrapped up its NECC regular season on November 13 by having two teams qualify for the playoffs—Rocket League posted a 6-0 record to earn the #1 seed and the varsity Overwatch team finished 5-1 to advance, while the League of Legends and Super Smash Bros. teams ended their seasons 3-3 and 1-6 respectively.
