Good morning, Valparaiso.

A Valparaiso trainer is working with local animal shelters to help pets learn to trust people and find forever homes.

He said his job is most rewarding when he sees animals come out of hard times and feel safe — a sign they are ready for a loving adoption.

Local experts released a pet safety guide with quick tips for dog, cat and other pet owners to protect their animals at home, outdoors and on the go—advising secure spaces and careful supervision.
